Lakshiq (lakshiq.in) is an online interview-preparation platform based in Chandigarh, India (“Lakshiq”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored in encrypted form by our authentication provider; we can never see them.
• Learning data: questions you answer, saved questions, mock test scores and problem reports you submit.
• Payment data: order IDs, payment IDs, amounts and dates. Card, UPI, net banking and wallet details are entered on Razorpay’s secure checkout and are never seen or stored by us.
• Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as device type and IP address, used for security and to keep the service running.

2. How we use your data

• To create and manage your account and let you sign in.
• To save your progress and show your scores and revision lists.
• To process payments and unlock the courses you buy.
• To send service emails, such as email confirmation, password resets and payment-related messages.
• To improve our content, for example by reviewing questions reported as incorrect.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing emails unless you choose to receive them.

3. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run Lakshiq. They process data only on our behalf:

• Supabase: database and user accounts.
• Google Firebase: website hosting.
• Razorpay: payment processing.
• Brevo: sending service emails.

4. Cookies and local storage

We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and remember simple settings, such as your practice streak. We do not use advertising cookies.

5. Data security

Data is sent over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to paid content and personal data is restricted by database security rules, so each user can only access their own data.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Payment records are kept for as long as required by law for tax and accounting purposes. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data except where we must keep it by law.

7. Your rights

In line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by emailing support@lakshiq.in. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Lakshiq is intended for users aged 18 and above. If you are under 18, please use Lakshiq only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page with its “Last updated” date.
